Have sickly conditions of the mind been intentionally created through fluoridation, chemicals in our foods, genetically modified foods, false government dietary advice, cell phone radiation etc.? Could the allowance and even encouragement of all of these harmful substances be for the ultimate or eventual purpose of drugging society and for initiating computor/brain interfacing as a "SOLUTION" for our ills? Or are all these plans and inventions for drugging the mind and interfacing our brains with computors only for profit and ideological goals? It could be a combination of all of the above.
The announcement at the link below is what got me going on this subject this morning. I recieved the article at this link from one of the private doctor/psychiatrist email lists I am on. It concerns a new type of drug to treat depression. What stood out to me was that the study was funded by the NIH and DARPA. Now,from what I have read DARPA is focusing heavily on neurochips and brain/computor interfacing. Why would an agency of the U.S Dept of Defense be interested in mere depression and a drug to treat it....unless it was related to it's technological military goals?
This drug they are studying supposedly works on the hippocampus area of the brain which they BELIEVE to be involved in depression. When it comes to messing with the brain...it seems like there should be no doubt concerning the functions of the area of the brain that the drugs or neurochips will be affecting.
Here is a brief description of the functions of the Hippocampus. It is interesting that one of its main functions is MEMORY AND RELATED EMOTIONS. Perhaps one of the applications for this drug could be to erase the memories and conscience of soldiers to make them forget the acts they may commit and or to allow them to have basically no conscience or emotions when entering into combat? I vaguely remember hearing about this type of drug for the military. Is this one reason they have mislabeled an infectious disease called Gulf War Syndrome...as a depressive and or shock related condition?
"Hippocampus Functions
Now, we know that hippocampus is a part of the limbic system, which has specific functions. The most important functions of the hippocampus includes long-term memory (especially episodic memories relating to personal events and related emotions) and spatial navigation. Earlier, it was thought that the hippocampus is responsible for olfaction and this belief was later, proved false. However, studies to figure out the role of hippocampus in some olfactory responses, like, memory of smell, is still underway. As of now, hippocampus is found to be associated with consolidation of episodic memories and spacial navigation.
It has been observed that brain injury or to be more specific, damage to the hippocampus (as in some cases of amnesia) affects the person's ability to form new memories. The person may also fail to recollect old memories. Hippocampal damage may not affect the ability to learn new cognitive skills. In case of alzheimer's disease, hippocampus is one of those brain parts, that is primarily affected. This causes memory loss and disorientation. In general, damage to hippocampus can cause oxygen starvation, encephalitis, medial temporal lobe epilepsy, etc. Navigation is another area, where hippocampus is involved. For this purpose, hippocampus contains 'place cells', that are responsible for this function. According to one theory, the hippocampus may act as a cognitive map, that helps in navigation. This is substantiated with the fact that people with weak hippocampus lack spatial memory and may forget about where they have been or where to go. This is why, it is said that a strong and intact hippocampus is required for spatial navigation tasks."

We know that the current antidepressants can have serious side effects and some people are concerned that this type of drug is already making people complacent and unconcerned about the direction society is taking. I just want to caution people who are having problems with depression to try and find the real chemical causes for their depression and try to fix it through elimination of allergenic or immune disrupting foods and by adding traditional foods that our ancestors have lived successfully on for centuries.
